Most states/schools will require you to be licensed to teach (though some charter schools may not require certification). But, how do you become licensed, and what if you want teach in a new state or have the option of teaching in multiple states? Or, what if you haven't been through a traditional teaching program, but are still interested in leading a classroom? The answers to these questions - it depends. Teacher certification can be a confusing process as requirements vary from state to state.
